Right at Valier, Lake Frances provides both summer and
winter water sports as well as picnicking and camping. Also, be

Located 45 minutes southwest of us, beautiful Choteau, offers the
Old Trail Museum (823 N. Main), where you'll find nature
tours, paleontology programs, "dinosaur digs", Native
American, Grizzly bear, and other exhibits.

Beautiful Glacier National Park is only an hours drive
away. Here, you'll find beautiful scenery, wildlife, guided hiking,
boat tours, lodging, dining, and other attractions. In route,
you will notice unique Native American monuments at the entrances
to the Blackfeet Reservation, and you may want to visit
the Museum of the Plains Indian & Crafts Center (Junction
of Highways 2 and 89 West)) in Browning.

The C.M. Russell Museum (400 13th St. N.) includes the
home and log cabin studio of "Cowboy Artist", Charles
M. Russell, and it contains the complete collection of C. M. Russell's
works and personal objects plus works by his contemporaries.

At the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive
Center (4201 Giant Springs Road), you'll journey back nearly
200 years and relive the adventures of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

Giant Springs State Park, discovered by Lewis and Clark
in 1805, is one of the largest freshwater springs in the nation.
Visitors can picnic on the banks of the Missouri river and visit
the nearby visitor center, fish hatchery and Rainbow Falls overlook.
The popular River's Edge Trail also runs thorough the park. (3
miles east of US 87 on River Drive in Great Falls.)

Ulm Pishkun State Park is one of the largest Native American
buffalo jumps in the US. Rising above the Missouri River Valley,
this prehistoric bison kill site has a mile-long cliff over which
buffalo were herded. (10 miles south of Great Falls on I-15 at
Ulm Exit, the 6 miles northwest on country road.)
